Riverside Health System Foundation, Inc. awarded a $36,000 grant to the Newport News Sheriff's Office Project Lifesaver program. Project Lifesaver is a non-profit search and rescue program that provides peace of mind to the caregiver of people diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, Autism, Down Syndrome and other mentally related disorders.

The grant money was used to upgrade equipment and purchase additional equipment in order to increase the number of clients.
